AUGUST PEER GROUP - OPEN HOUSE!

Our regular peer groups are open to any clinician who has completed a 4-day ICEEFT sponsored externship. In August, our peer group is open to anyone interested in the model, regardless of previous training. Come Join us on August 14th @ 2pm to meet community members and learn about eft journeys!

Connecting through EFFT: Strengthening the Parent-Child Relationship

September 22nd 8:30am - 10:00am ZOOM

In this 90-minute workshop, participants will examine the EFFT interventions and see the model in action through prerecorded video sessions. Therapists who work with children will be inspired by the power of secure bonds within the family that foster resilience for children.

2023 EXTERNSHIPS

October 23rd - October 26th 8:30am -4:30pm   IN-PERSON

Our sister community - The Louisiana Center for Emotionally Focused Therapy will be holding their Externship on Monday, October 23 through Thursday, October 26 at Tulane University. Due to new International Excellence in EFT (ICEEFT) Board rules, communities are no longer allowed to do online externships. So, there will only be an in-person option for this training. Louisiana community trainer, George Faller, will be the trainer for this externship.

MONTHLY PEER GROUP - NEW DAY & TIME

Alabama EFT offers monthly Peer Groups for clinicians of at various levels of their EFT journey.  Our time together is to collaborate, improve our skills, and find support.  We meet regularly, on the 2nd Monday of each month from 2pm - 4pm. 

Our regular peer groups are open to any clinician who has completed a 4-day ICEEFT sponsored externship. Joining us for peer group is easy. Simply contact us to be added to the recurring invite list and let us know if you'll be attending!

An Introduction to Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy

A workshop with Tyana Alexander, LPC; Alefyah Taqui, LICSW, & Michelle Pruett - LPC-S

An Introduction to the leading evidenced based model of couples therapy.  Learn how utilizing EFT can effectively change over 75% of relationships from one of suffering and pain to one of recovery and healing.  

Workshop Objectives:

  • Participants will learn how EFT helps improve relationships by understanding emotions and attachment. 

  • Participants will learn how these stages help clients identify and manage negative patterns, create new positive interactions, and strengthen their bond. 

  • Participants will learn how to assess attachment patterns, set treatment goals, and implement interventions that promote emotional connection and secure attachment in therapy. 

  • Participants will receive guidance on recommended books ,articles and online resources for continued learning.  Additionally, they will have the opportunity to discuss different training programs and certification options available, as well as the benefits and requirements associated with pursuing certification in EFT.
